For millennia, Mortarion, Lord of the Death Guard, has been an unstoppable force on the battlefield. Surrounded by buzzing Daemon pests, foul flies, and the stench of decay, Mortarion descends upon his foes with the thunderous beat of his massive, rotting wings. The very sound of his wings fills the enemy with dread, carrying with it the pervasive smell of death, and to be near him is to be consumed by the plagues that follow in his wake. This multi-part plastic kit provides everything you need to assemble Mortarion, Daemon Primarch of Nurgle. This towering model stands far above the rest of the Death Guard, casting a long shadow even over other mighty creatures like Bloodthirsters. Mortarion is clad in the Barbaran Plate, a suit of baroque power armour covered in rust, decay, skulls, spikes, and the unmistakable marks of Nurgle. His armour is adorned with tattered robes, chains, and a rotting cowl that obscures the system of pipes that provide him with life-sustaining, though far from clean, air. Mortarion wields two terrifying weapons: the massive scythe Silence, a rusted yet razor-sharp blade with brutal chain-teeth, capable of cleaving through even the toughest of foes, and The Lantern, an ancient energy pistol. You can choose between two weapon poses: one with the weapons hanging at Mortarion’s side, and another featuring a more dynamic, aggressive stance. His monstrous, decaying wings are etched with wounds, holes, and signs of rot, embodying the decay and destruction of Nurgle's influence. In addition to the main model, the kit includes several extras – two Nurgling Drones carrying phosphex bombs dangle from Mortarion’s chains, while three more sit on the base: one holds a Chaos icon, another swings a censer, and the third carries a tank of revolting substances. The base itself is filled with rocks slowly succumbing to the corruption of Mortarion’s presence. This kit contains 78 pieces and includes a Citadel 100mm Round Base for display.
